H.O.P.E RECONNECT — SUNRISE Cambodia GALLERY TWO
SUNRISE CAMBODIA · 2007
These photographs continue the Sunrise Cambodia series — more moments from the centres in Siem Reap and Kandal Province in 2007. Classrooms, courtyards, meal times, quiet corners. The everyday life of children growing up inside Geraldine Cox's program.
Some of these images were taken during organised activities. Others happened between activities — the in-between moments when no one was performing for the camera.
Most of these children were between 4 and 14 years old. Today they are young adults aged 23-33. Sunrise Cambodia has evolved from an orphanage model to community-based care since 2015 — over 10,000 children nationwide were reunited with families.
