H.O.P.E RECONNECT - Phnom Penh & Around

April 2007. Phnom Penh and the roads around it

The markets, the street schools, the communities on the edge of the capital. After Siem Reap, this is where the journey ended: many faces in just a few days. Not only children — the adults beside them too: mothers, grandmothers, grandfathers, neighbours, shopkeepers.

Look closely. A dress, a patterned krama, a polo, a bicycle, a street shop, a card game, a familiar animal — one small detail can bring back a name. These children are adults now, in their twenties and thirties. Some may still live nearby. Some are far away.

Do you recognise anyone? A face, a family, a neighbour — yourself.
Every face matters. Every detail matters.

If you recognise anyone — a face, a uniform, a shop, a corner of a road — please fill out the form below.
